Dr. David Peto is a board-certified periodontist practicing in New Jersey and New York. He grew up in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Peto pursued additional hospital-based training at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center. At the completion of his residency, he worked as a general dentist and also joined the faculty at USC to teach at the program.

Dr. Peto realized that his passion was helping patients save teeth, and making life-changing differences to his patients' smiles. He attended the periodontics program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He became proficient in all aspects of periodontal surgery, including osseous surgery, extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and gingival grafting.

He returned to Southern California, practicing in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. In order to offer patients the most up-to-date treatment, he pursued training in LANAP, the minimally-invasive laser gum surgery as an alternative to conventional gum surgery. Dr. Peto also worked as a clinical instructor at the University of California Los Angeles teaching the undergraduate dental students.

Dr. Peto has published articles regarding generic control of bone formation as well as cosmetic periodontal surgical procedures.

Dr. Peto prides himself on his conservative approach to patient care, and strives to provide evidence-based treatment to achieve the best outcomes. He is particularly excited by advances in digital implant surgery, which allow for accurate, safe, and ideal treatment for his patients. He believes in long-term planning for results that will last a lifetime.
