Dr. Kabaria says that each day gives her a new opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and she never takes this for granted. She feels honored when someone trusts her to help them meet their dental needs, which is why she does everything she can to truly understand where a patient is coming from and deliver fully personalized care. She’s eager to show you what is possible for your smile, but first, you can start getting to know her below.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Kabaria’s journey to dentistry all started thanks to a toothache…more specifically, her father’s toothache.

She learned that his oral health was compromised due to uncontrolled diabetes, and he required several procedures. During his various treatments, his dentist walked her through each step, which was fascinating! She was amazed to see how quickly dentists can relieve pain. Curious to know more, she asked him if she could spend her summer vacation as an observer in his clinic. Inspired by her newly acquired knowledge, she was eager to examine her other family members’ teeth. To her surprise, nearly half had cavities, and all required attention. Unbeknown to her at the time, she began building a foundation for her future career.

Along with dentistry, Dr. Kabaria has a deep love for art. It never ceases to surprise her how intertwined art and the dental sciences are. From making cubic blocks with plaster to full facial replicas, her artistic talent has consistently helped her in all aspects of dentistry. She finds it invigorating that she can incorporate her artistic capacity to fuel her science-driven curiosity while serving others.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Kabaria was born and raised in India, where she earned her first dental degree. After moving to the United States, she received her doctorate in dental surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After graduating, she completed her residency at the Veteran’s Hospital in Lyons, NJ, where she provided comprehensive dental care to our nation’s veterans.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, making her one of the leading experts in TMJ treatment in the area. This gives her unique expertise when it comes to addressing chronic jaw pain, headaches, and migraines stemming from a misaligned or strained bite. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Over the years, Dr. Kabaria has volunteered to provide dental care in rural India as well as medical traveling clinics in remote areas of the United States.

When she isn’t taking care of patients, Dr. Kabaria enjoys traveling, painting, and spending time with her family, including her husband and young daughter. She is also a big fan of outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.
