Why Did SmileDirectClub Go Bankrupt?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019d be easy to assume that an organization providing mail-order orthodontics for convenience purposes would be hugely successful, but according to firms involved in the case, SmileDirectClub was losing finances. Many orthodontists took issue with the fact that there was no in-person oversight of patients\u2019 progress with their products which often caused more harm than progress. It\u2019s possible to worsen someone\u2019s bite alignment if you haven\u2019t considered specific pressure points, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, costly legal battles ensued. Over time, SmileDirectClub could no longer remain competitive with valid orthodontic therapies individualized to a patient\u2019s unique circumstances and so treatment is no longer available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, those who recently joined the organization and purchased aligners will not be receiving them. Orders that weren\u2019t already mailed have been canceled as of their bankruptcy announcement on December 8, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the condition of your pearly whites, you might benefit from solutions like Invisalign or traditional braces. Only a qualified dentist or orthodontist has the right instruments and expertise necessary to examine your mouth and take accurate images of your teeth and bite alignment to make an appropriate recommendation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019ve been using SmileDirectClub for a while and are confused about what steps to take next, you\u2019re not alone! An estimated 10,000+ people are impacted by this closure.
